The 2011 ACM Awards: The Night’s Highlights & Big Winners!

Rihanna, Steven Tyler and Carrie Underwood, oh my! Not only was last night’s Academy of Country Music Awards a big event for winners in Sin City, it was marked by colorful performances as well. Find out the scoop and winners after the jump!

As Carrie rocked streaks of pink in her hair, she also rocked out with an American Idol judge! According to PopEater, Carrie and Steven performed her hit “Undo it” and then the Aerosmith classic, “Walk This Way.”

And the hits kept on coming! Whether it was watching Rihanna do her country best by singing a duet with Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland or seeing newlywed Reese Witherspoon present with her Water for Elephants co-star, Robert Pattinson, the night was one surprise after another!

Olivia Wilde on Justin Timberlake Dating Rumors: “We Are Just Friends”

Are Justin Timberlake and Olivia Wilde were reportedly seen out together over the weekend looking cozy. So are these two stars more than just co-stars?

According to E! News, Olivia and Justin went to the Roxbury on Saturday night together in L.A. and were quite the snuggling pair.

“They definitely looked like they were on a date,” a source told E! News.

They reportedly arrived and left together (in matching white tee shirts and jeans), but were joined by some friends during the night.

So are the newly single Now co-stars dating?

“Cool it, honeybadgers,” Olivia Tweeted today. “We are just friends and have been for years.”

And it is true that Olivia and Justin have known each other for quite some time as they did work together on Alpha Dog.

So, it sounds like Olivia and Justin are just really friendly friends. What do you think?

Robert Pattinson on Kissing Reese Witherspoon: “It’s Really Easy for Me”

Robert Pattinson is an old pro at smooching sirens on the silver screen. From newcomers Kristen Stewart and Emilie de Ravin to veteran actresses like Reese Witherspoon and Uma Thurman, Rob’s lips are getting some serious action lately. During a Water for Elephants junket at Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica, Calif, Rob & Reese opened up about smooching one another…and shoveling poop!

When asked what it was like to kiss Rob, who is so much taller than her, Reese replied, “What’s it like to kiss a tall guy? I don’t know. In the movies, they put you on a box and then you kiss the tall guy.”

Rob’s height didn’t give him any difficulty.

“It’s really easy for me. I have got quite bad posture. So, I’ve got like a big, heavy head, so it just slumps down the minute you’re in the right spot kind of naturally,” he explained.

He certainly makes kissing look easy and quite comfortable on screen with his lucky leading ladies.

Rob plays Jacob, a circus hand who gets involved with the boss’ wife, in the upcoming film WFE, and part of his job was shoveling some big mounds of manure from the animals on set!

“Working with poop is, I don’t mind that at all. I have like a natural propensity to work on big piles of poop. I’m very familiar with it,” Rob shared with reporters. “I wasn’t grossed out by it at all. Because of the environment, everything felt so authentic all the time, you kind of just accept it as just part of the world.”

He added, “There was like the scene when we were in that train car with like ten million flies, on any other movie, I think I’d be like, ‘One take!’ I was just perfectly happy, made a little mound, sat there and ate my lunch like everybody else.”

Robert Pattinson on Filming ‘Water for Elephants’ in Tennessee: “Amazing Moonshine”

Aside from the culture and gorgeous landscape, the combination of the heat and high proof liquor in Tennessee certainly makes it a place to remember. Just ask Robert Pattinson. Rob spent time in the southern state while filming Water for Elephants, and his time there certainly left an impression on him.

“It was about 118 degrees,” Rob said of the severe heat wave he encountered while he was filming.

“Love it. Love it,” co-star Reese Witherspoon chimed in during Water for Elephants junket at Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica, Calif. on Sunday.

Reese is a Tennessee native, but “Ironically, the only part of the film that I’m not in is the part that they filmed in Tennessee,” she shared.

“We were all dripping,” Rob added of the heat.

“It’s not for a bunch of wimps,” Reese quipped.

Aside from the heat, Rob and the crew had to deal with bug bites and poison ivy while braving the Tennessee wilderness.

“Getting bitten by mosquitoes…bit by poison ivy,” Rob said of his time in the state.

“Mosquitoes…I love it,” Reese mused. “You know, they were e-mailing me, going, ‘This is horrible!’ ”

Co-star Christoph Waltz appreciated the beauty of the area.

“It was really beautiful,” the Oscar-winner added. “I was glad we shot there, but boy, it was a tough couple of days.”

Rob remembered the authentic moonshine, a distilled beverage illegal in some states.

“There was an amazing moonshine there,” Robert shared. “One of the best days of the shoot.”

“Yes, authentic Tennessee moonshine,” Christoph chimed in.

But the combination of moonshine and heat made for a risky situation.

“Drinking in 120 degrees,” Rob shared. “Half the crew is passed out after one sip. It’s amazing.”

The moonshine must have made quite the impression on Rob as the hunky actor also told Reese it was his favorite part about filming in Tennessee last night onstage at the 2011 Academy of Country Music Awards!

Reelz is reaping in the benefits of giving The Kennedys series a home on their channel. The miniseries, starring Katie Holmes and Greg Kinnear, brought in record ratings!

The show premiered last night to 1.9 million viewers, which is a record for the basic cable channel that reaches 60 million homes, Entertainment Weekly reports.

“Viewers across America showed their ongoing fascination with the Kennedy family and, specifically, their desire to see such a star-studded cast in the highly-anticipated The Kennedys,” Stan E. Hubbard, CEO of Reelz, in a statement. “In acquiring The Kennedys our aim was to give viewers an opportunity to watch an incredible movie event with massive star power and to also put a spotlight on our network like never before.”

Gwen Stefani & Gavin Rossdale took their little men, Kingston and Zuma, out for lunch at Taco Surf before heading to a birthday party at Kidnastics Quality Gymnastics in L.A. yesterday. Kingston looked as cute as ever in a tiger costume while baby brother Zuma ran around with his face painted under the watchful eye of their proud parents.

Showing her philanthropist side, Gwen recently announced that on April 11 she will be auctioning off a special date for one person to join her during tea and lunch. She’s incorporating her designer talents too, of course!

The auction will also include vintage clothes from Gwen’s personal wardrobe and a signed custom design T-shirt. The proceeds will go to Japan’s relief efforts.

Katy Perry has given Lady Gaga a run for her money with her latest music video. With some help from Kanye West, Katy brings an other-worldly dimension to the 5-minute long masterpiece for her it of Teenage Dream, “E.T.” Gaga is usually the queen of special effects and over-the-top short-films, but Katy may take the cake with her latest clip.

The video premiered today on MTV.com and shows Katy as “the titular alien: a swirling, shifting, otherworldly being who crashes to earth to resurrect a long-dormant love and, in the process, perhaps reboot the human race,” according to MTV.

Katy recently told MTV that the makeup process for the video was very intensive.

“It was, like, five and six hours, each makeup look,” she shared, adding it was difficult for her to remain patient during the process.

“It was hard for me! It was really a patience thing for me on this video,” she continued. “But, you know, it’s like when you’re doing a film. Sometimes you have to do prosthetics, and you have to get really old or turn into an animal or a monster — and that’s kind of what this process was.”

Katy’s extra-long fake nails and style seem to be Gaga-esque or maybe like an Avatar? Both “Born This Way” and “E.T.” have also received a lot of hype!

Nicole Richie looked happy and refreshed as she left a Studio City gym on Saturday, the day after she pulled a hilarious prank on pal Khloe Kardashian and her sister Kim via Twitter.

On April Fool’s day, the mom of two hacked into her Keeping Up with the Kardshian pals’ Twitter account leaving a few comedic, yet vulgar posts.

“I DON’T CRAP… I KRAP!,” Nicole started out on the E! reality star’s wall, also adding in, “My poops are in the shape of Ks,” among other comments.

Nicole’s crass words didn’t get Lamar Odom’s wife upset. Khloe and Kim were rather amused by their friend’s jokes.

“Swear some1 hacked me! These tweets r so fab I wanna pretend its me.” Khloe tweeted.

And, eventually Nicole, married to rocker Joel Madden, came clean about her prank.

“APRIL FOOLS!! KHLOE’S TWEETS WERE AS GREAT AS CAN BE, BUT IT WASNT HER, JUST LIL’ OL ME,” Nicole posted on Khloe’s account later on Friday.
